The goal of the evidence-based, multidisciplinary team approach to patient care at Tennova Cancer Centers is creating hope and changing lives for many people living with cancer. Doctors, nurses and other caregivers work together to treat cancer aggressively and to ensure that no person has to face the challenge of a cancer diagnosis alone.

At Tennova Cancer Centers, multidisciplinary cancer conferences are held weekly where healthcare providers discuss the diagnosis and treatment of individual cancer patients to optimize their care management. Participants represent medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, radiology, nurse navigation and nursing. Other healthcare providers involved in a patient’s care—such as dietitians and rehabilitation specialists—may also attend.
