Family nurse practitioner offers same-day appointments for sick patients
KNOXVILLE, TN (August 1, 2017) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed Deborah Russell, FNP, to her new medical practice at Tennova LaFollette Medical Center Clinic – South, located at 2145 Jacksboro Pike in LaFollette (behind El Pueblito and Food City). The clinic now offers extended office hours, including evening and Saturday appointments. Walk-ins are welcome.
Russell specializes in caring for women, men, and children ages 4 and older. In addition to offering annual exams, sick visits, immunizations, and school and sports physicals, she has a special interest in preventive care and managing chronic conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and emphysema. A certified family nurse practitioner, Russell earned her master’s degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.
“I am committed to keeping families healthy—from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan,” Russell said. “I have cared for children, teens, adults and seniors in LaFollette and surrounding communities for more than 20 years, including in the hospital setting. And I am very excited for the opportunity to offer family-focused care at Tennova.”
